I think that Dancing Deer is served on short and medium flights with meals. The 1400+ mile flights usually have a plated dessert.
Posting 2214 was a flight from JFK-ATL that is not 1400 miles and Dancing Deer was not served. Maybe DL is moving away from them.. WOuld be a nice move.
