My EDI-DOH BA2880 flight on 09/02 has changed flight numbers today and it has triggered a cancellation text from BA. However it has been replaced with BA5880 (same time / date).
I'm still waiting for the flight to be reinstated on-line with the new flight number so I can check that my seats etc are still the same.
3 hone calls (1.5 hours) to the BA silver line and this is now rectified. The first 2 times BA told me the flight had been reinstated and all was now good-to-go - it wasn't. The 3rd time I was put through to another department which insisted that my EDI-DOH was cancelled and looked at re-routing me through LHR. Unfortunately none of the options suited as I arrive late into EDI (train). Whilst BA were looking at re-ticketing me from LHR (so I didn't have to travel to EDI) I noticed on BA.com they were still selling my original routing EDI-DOH-PEN routing so I asked the agent to re-check. She then informs me that it is still operating but with a new flight number and did I still want to travel on this flight
All now re-ticketed ^ - but a frustrating experience
