No such problem for us fortunately, but in Chengdu, China in 2017 having the hotel name printed out in Mandarin didn't help us, as our taxi driver took us to the Hilton Garden Inn rather than to the Hilton. I brought him inside and explained the problem to the desk clerk, who was able to give him instructions in Mandarin, and we eventually made it to the Hilton.
