Yes, this is the way it works. The idea is to provide graduated incentives for people to keep flying a bit beyond merely re-achieving status. Slightly unfortunate timing for you, but such is life.

Note that since you're now SE, you're not going to receive any of those bonuses this year until 150K+ either.
