Same with PP. As a matter of fact, I sat in row 21 (window seat) on the return, and the engine was right there outside the window.
J seat felt tight to me (row 7). Felt more roomier on the PP seat.
Odd numbered seats in J are still best for privacy.
A lot of people on my return flight had trouble locating the headphone plug in PP. The location placement is not great.
I had a better experience in PP than in J. This would be my pick, even if P fares are there at somewhere between $500-$600, especially on the shorter flying time from the west coast to the east.
