Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? We booked the cheapest club room and received a two level upgrade to a deluxe suite.

How are the rooms? This was the biggest suite we have had so far at this hotel. It was a corner suite so had three balconies. The balcony that overlooked the outdoor pool was very deep and had outdoor furniture. The other two balconies were standard size. The sitting room was well furnished. There was a sofa and armchair, desk with chair and dining table with three chairs. My eldest son had a rollaway bed in the corner of the room. Bathroom amenities were 100ml Agraria.

How is the exec. lounge? Lovely as always. The bar service went on longer on New Year’s Eve.

What was good and what was bad? Welcome points posted quickly. We were given three drinks vouchers for Waterbiscuit which I used for lunchtime cocktails. Large bottles of still and sparkling mineral water were delivered each day. Generous fruit bowl and handwritten welcome card along with a box of nougat were in the room when we entered. Second box of nougat was delivered with our final bill on the penultimate day. The pool was under-utilised while we were there. The only bad thing was that the sauna was out of action.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? We paid an average of £180 per night. This compared to £110 at HIX next door. £70 premium was so worth it for a two roomed suite, club lounge, pool, gym and spa.
