There is much that I like about the QSuites, including the six small bites plate, notwithstanding the closed in feeling I got because it's fairly small to have a door that closes. However, it didn't really work for me trying to sleep; it was just too cramped. I'm not a big guy, 5'8" (almost) and 140 lbs. While it worked fine for me on a daytime flight, it was just too cramped for a comfortable sleep. So overall, I prefer the "old" 359 J product. I am aware, however, that eventually all QR longhaul flights will be QSuite.
Did you try lowering both armrests? On the A350 the Qsuites is wider at the head and foot well, while slightly narrower at the bed pan than the old product. I find the new product much better to sleep because of the door and more space around my upper body for my arms.
