Prefacing that I've been out of the loop on Hilton for a while, there's no easy way to know the precise nature of a guest's Diamond status through the PMS - but with some digging, it can be determined (e.g., via reviewing a guest's stay history). But the short answer is that it's unlikely any FD agent is going to care enough.

However, the guest's point balance is displayed prominently, which is why some people believe it matters in terms of treatment/upgrades. Note, of course, that point balance is certainly no definitive measure of determining if Diamond was made 'the hard way', speaking as someone who had 2M+ point balance through many years of only attaining Diamond via CC.
