Diamond does wonders for me when I check into a Hilton property in Europe early in the morning after a red eye flight.
Have never been denied a room although I did have to wait twice for a room to be cleaned when the hotels were fully booked the previous day.
As a Gold, I have the same experience when arriving at the Hiltons in Europe after a red eye flight. If I have to wait for my room, they usually let me wait in the Executive Lounge where it's still breakfast time.
