For Hilton, you probably have seen loads of threads stating the same. Hilton Gold is an amazing status. Just the Free breakfast pays for it. Not much value of a Diamond unless you are staying in resorts in Asia.
Diamond does wonders for me when I check into a Hilton property in Europe early in the morning after a red eye flight.
Have never been denied a room although I did have to wait twice for a room to be cleaned when the hotels were fully booked the previous day.
