Assuming you're planning to fly JetBlue next year I would pay $250 out of pocket to top off my account and have the status. But I also use the benefits it offers. If you're not going to use those benefits then don't bother.
it definitely changes my booking patterns when im looking at qualifying for two different programs. on each flight i need to choose which airline to use and the badges or at the very least the map motivated me to try to use jetblue to new destinations, now that activity has been going elsewhere.
i will definitely use the mosaic status next year but buying the final points seems cheaper than flying them, correct?
