Christmas can definitely be an expensive time to travel. I'm paying less than that per night outright (i.e. not just for an upgrade and no points) and getting the $100/day resort credit added on top of that. That and the dirt cheap flights to Cancun are the reason we decided to try Cancun this year rather than our normal late-January Universal Orlando trip.
