Having a FA carry the tray of food(remember they don't use trays for the first service) and serving it to someone in Y is very awkward and may incite jealousy amongst the pax around them that can turn into complaints that someone is getting special treatment(totally want to avoid this as this will trigger a disciplinary review board for the whole crew) and many FA's consider that a form of "bad passenger"(they have a Chinese phrase they use). It's best if you just switch seats as Gengar said or bring it yourself after amassing the plates on your tray table.
