I believe CA owns part of CX via some sort of stock offering deal couple of years ago. with CA in Star, MU remains in SkyTeam, CZ will be a great addition to OW down the road.

Part = 29.9% plus vice versa. Playing in different arenas makes the most sense for both. Plus, they have extensive codeshares and Asia Miles between them.
