How does one redeem Amex free night certificate? I called the reservation number. Told the agent that I want to redeem the certificate. She didn't ask for the cert number. Just created a reservation for me and said to bring the certificate number to the hotel. This is odd. I'm beginning to suspect she confused certificate with something else. The whole booking by phone thing baffles me.
