I am considering a whirlwind trip this weekend as AF has decent last-minute fares and I would really like to spend a couple days there soon. Hotels on Expedia are coming up $2600 for a standard queen at the Comfort Inn.

Some are sky-high Friday night, others on Saturday. Even my standby Tremont is nearly double the normal web rate.

The hotel might cost more than the flight. Anyone know why?
