I didn't think about this until now, but if you've taken one of these buses to the lounge within an hour or so, maybe even up to two, you could probably use the same proof of payment to get back on the same route you took.

Anyway, OP, glad you could enjoy it -- I do agree that going to the departure terminal based on the delayed time was a bit risky in case they moved it back up, but it sounds like it worked out perfectly for you this time!
