Do folks have any suggestions? The only thing we've locked in is hotel (staying in downtown Asheville) and dinner on Saturday night (we are going to try out The Admiral). I haven't been here in nearly 20 years (when I was a kid), so don't really have a great idea of what I should plan on. Thanks in advance for any tips!
I like hanging around downtown to see if I can spot any normal people. Seriously, it’s a great town for people watching. It’s been more than 5 years, but I really enjoyed the zoo. It’s a relatively humane facility where the animals have large enclosures. I think everything is native to the state, although I might be confusing it with another one. It’s shady and hilly and a perfect place to be outdoors. Not far off the beaten track.

We will be there the first weekend in November. BamaVol Jr.#3 is getting married at Highland Brewery. We try to hit a couple breweries every visit. The rehearsal dinner is at Asheville Brewing Co.

Have fun. I always do.
