The fact is that they were
two impacts - first the perimeter wall was knocked down and then the communications mast/tower was also uprooted from its base. How can the flight deck (as well as the cabin crew) be
oblivious of two impacts) even if the instruments did not signal something wrong? And why was the
CVR turned off?
I will not dispute Keyser's comment that AI cabin crew is generally better than their UA counterparts, but pilots are another story altogether - even on wide body aircraft. No doubt there are some good AI pilots but there have been plenty of reports of AI pilots slipping up in more ways than one.

There are only 2 ways it could be noticed by the crew.... feeling the impact or error/warning lights on this cockpit. Based on news reports there weren’t either of those so it’s not surprising that the pilots didn’t realize they hit the wall.
Had the passensgers said they felt an impact I think it would be very negligent of the pilots.
I think AI has great pilots... AI Express pilots though aren’t that great or experienced.
