I looked on EF and nothing is available for weeks.
My question is, is it too early to look for C upgrade bucket 8 months out??
When would those seats typically be released?
Thanks.

This is typical AA behavior with regards to releasing upgrade space in advance. Very common to see no upgrade space available even 8 months out, especially to Europe in the peak summer season. If space is still open it will most likely be released in the week before the flight. You can of course get on the waitlist, every now and then AA seems to release batches of upgrade space in advance, you never know when this can happen.
