Staying on a higher floor in the old section of the Westin St. Francis, and I'd have to agree. Also, the housekeeping is subpar and it took forever to check in (not sure if the front desk workers are part of the strike; the picketers are more about banging on drums than providing information). But I did see that they seem to be hiring and training a lot of replacement workers in a conference area of the hotel. It's tough to get rooms in SF, but I'd really consider going any place else if I had a reservation for Westin St. Francis next week.
