Or put it another way, any recommendations for a Castle Hotel in Ireland?

While we have not stayed at the Adare Manor Castle , we enjoyed our brief stay at Ashford Castle a decade or so ago . Could possibly have stayed a week and use it as a base to explore . Service was good & had a genteel atmosphere then too .
Have not had time to return to the area or stay at Ballyfin either .
