Window in the back, easily. It's not the last row, so row isn't really that important. A window to be able to lean against on a 5-6 hour flight is very beneficial. Deplaning 5 minutes later is a small cost for a more comfortable flight.

Yes, talk to the staff at the desk, and maybe hang around near the desk as upgrades are processed.
