Thanks JJeffrey!
Is it common for a vacation package to be cheaper than the same flight on its own? I'm assuming that booking a hotel like Hyatt or Hilton through AA Vacation would not be a qualifying rate for elite benefits. Are any chains known to recognize these bookings differently than a standard OTA?
