Thanks a lot for the clarification! I'll do it and report back. I mean, there are no UA-operated routes for this - obviously. All other airlines are at least 3x the price on any PQM-earning fares that would get me past 50k (looking at you, EVA). It's not like I have a lot of choice. Now if I can't get the status for 2019, I will be free to bring my loyalty somewhere else
These wet-leases and third-party deals make a real mess of mileage accumulation. If you absolutely must have these miles then I suggest you may be disappointed (and no email is going to be binding.) As to loyalty, consider that you are not flying on UA, nor does UA get any revenue from this deal.
