So in any event, if this is absolutely critical for your renewal ... don't do it. This should credit just fine if the automatic credit works. With EW this can at times be a bit tricky, but I have been lucky. Any regular EW flight will earn including these wet leases .... however, if a manual credit is required, then you will run into the same issues with MP support which could take forever to resolve. I have been getting miles for EW wet lease flights, but they credited automatically.
Makes sense. An email from them saying I will get miles for the flight would be "binding" so they are probably avoiding it.
Thanks a lot for the clarification! I'll do it and report back. I mean, there are no UA-operated routes for this - obviously. All other airlines are at least 3x the price on any PQM-earning fares that would get me past 50k (looking at you, EVA). It's not like I have a lot of choice. Now if I can't get the status for 2019, I will be free to bring my loyalty somewhere else
