I tried calling on the weekend and spoke to a very sympathetic European agent.
She said she would have tried to take points to upgrade me from an OC9 to an NC7 but she didn't think NC7s existed.

She told me that the maximum that anybody will currently have is an NC6 as the NC7s don't exist in the system yet...
