Sure, I agree it happens on all airlines, but it happens much more frequently on AA than any other airline as far as I can tell (I don't fly JetBlue or any of the foreign carriers enough to have a strong opinion). I don't think this is a controversial point based on previous threads on this board.

But more to the point, since the DL app tells you when boarding begins it doesn't really matter if you get a new ETA. Once boarding starts you wander down to your gate and go.
