Air NZ's WiFi deployment has essentially been impacted by the 789 issues. They haven't been able to send the 777's to Singapore for the installs, and obviously can't take the 789's out of service either.
In regard to these two new 789's my understanding was that both were getting WiFi factory fitted and arriving with it. GX wasn't a factory fit at Charlotte when they received the earlier code2 aircraft last year, but it is now at Everett.
To see photos showing no antenna a week before the first aircraft is due would tend to indicate a last minute rush to fit it, or that it's not coming fitted.
