I vaguely recall being offered the free cancellation option on a previous ticket booked through an OTA, but I may be mistaken. YMMV. On the bright side, at least for award tickets, the cancellation/miles redeposit fee is only 20 Euros. While it sucks if your plans change within 24 hours of booking, the fee is the same all the way up to your departure date. For redemption tickets, the policy is really customer friendly, IMHO.
Thanks, I thought as much. I searched but couldn't find the thread on the 24-hour cancellation policy.

I had to cancel a redemption ticket in the end because I found a better option (also on redemption using A3) and quite happily paid the €20 (or in reality had it deducted from the refund) although it was within 24 hours of booking.

Their last-minute cancellation policy is impressively good though, to be changeable/cancellable right up to the last minute (30 min. before to be precise) for just €20. That's really generous.

I don't know about Aegean but after coming across far too many phone agents who did not know their own policy I no longer really rely on the phone enquiry for policy questions. I first look on their website, and if I can't find anything there, I ask here because generally speaking one would get a useful and relevant answer like Tennen kindly provided, whereas I have been fed a duff gen so often by phone agents
