Perhaps this hotel is using their own software product to send out these emails. If that's true, they may have not set it up correctly and "B" is a placeholder that was not correctly assigned a value. That would be my guess.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, if you want to know what it means, ask someone at the hotel.
