I only remember one person relating their experience of being told this by the hotel and it not only struck me at the time that this was a way to politely tell someone to screw off but it flies in the face of many other's experiences. Similar to the multitudes of clear bullcrap that's been told by many a phone agent I'd hold off on giving that particular statement any credence. I believe the poster was told this, but I don't believe for a moment that Marriott related the info to the hotel.
