This time I would go from QT and I would consider one of those tours that offer flights to and from, just to cut the travel time way down.
But I'd have to be able to book at the last-minute, knowing there was going to be at least some sun.
Anyone take one of these tours, flights on Cessnas or something like that probably?
I personally haven't taken said tours but came across a few while researching for my trip, Milford Sound Air, Glenorchy Air operate out of QT and offer fly-cruise-fly tours. As for weather you don't have to worry too much about it because the fly tours won't operate unless the weather conditions are near perfect. You should be able to book last minute, take a look at bookme nz or viator.
