Did a BUF-ATL-IAH yesterday and got a surprise when I got to IAH. I will let the pictures do the justice here. My bad for keeping my laptop in there but I already had 2nd laptop in the backpack so didnt want to make it too heavy and/or I haven't really had any issues in the past when I let my laptop in there but what do u guys think in terms of putting in a claim? Will delta replace the bag? I did report this on arrival and the person helping me said that it looks like it got stuck on the belt and just tore the side where was no zip (btw, the bag was not locked). He gave me a tag to send it in. S

Secondly, I booked this ticket with miles but paid the 11.20 fees using my amex. Will amex cover anything? I suspect the answer is no but thot I did ask.
