There are quite a few threads within this forum about that but it will depend on when you can do it and how much time you want to spend. It may also be cheaper to pay a short visit to some other part of Europe.
It is possible to have qualifying flights within the US but they have to be BA codeshares on AA bought in conjunction with a transatlantic ticket that is BA coded. So you can get all four segments required for Silver on a transatlantic round trip with domestic feeders. You can earn all of the TPs required on AA flights.
