BA Bronze
Ok, I will start out by saying I am a complete novice at the points collection game but hope someone will answer my questions anyway.
#1: I am currently an BA Blue that has apparently accrued all tier points but need two qualifying flights for Bronze before mid December. I have rtn flights SFO to LHR booked for Nov and wondered if these would qualify.
#2 If the above flights do qualify do you maintain the bronze for a year?
#3. BA have offered a CW upgrade for $819pp Lhr-Sfo, seems expensive but wondered if anyone thought it was worth it.
#4. Is it possible to get those two flights within the US?
Again sorry if this is basic info but I really don’t know the answers.
Thanks in advance

WT+ is a decent product, there's a recent thread on it. There's a certain something about trying CW but it's a chunk of cash you could probably spend more enjoyably when you arrive. You only get an extra 50 or so TPs so it's not worth it for that.

The qualifying flights have to be BA. So if they are before the end of your membership year AND with BA, you'll reach the four!
Upgrades for cash are a personal thing. It's what you're prepared to pay for the journey. Often, the price quoted is the delta between the original PE flight and Club. (so if the fare and class didn't interest you then - why would that change.
I agree with another post, that that money is 3 or 4 decent meals for two in SF. I'd be more minded (against the grain) to upgrade on the day flight to enjoy the service more. If I'm using avois between Toronto and London or vice versa, I'll always chose first from heathrow for 7.5 hours of pampering, food and fine wine

that is incorrect as per this post in the guide to executive club which the OP will find useful. OP also only needs 2 qualifying flights for Bronze, For silver and gold they would need 4

It is possible to have qualifying flights within the US but they have to be BA codeshares on AA bought in conjunction with a transatlantic ticket that is BA coded. So you can get all four segments required for Silver on a transatlantic round trip with domestic feeders. You can earn all of the TPs required on AA flights.
