When I did make a larger transfer a few months ago I had the agent read from the T&Cs with me and they still claimed I was wrong. I thanked her, and practiced what you should: HUACA.
yeah, i went into more detail in the new thread. now i know from the new thread that i was right that this obnoxious manager was reading the new T&C even though i was telling him 'he must be reading the new T&C that go into effect the 18th'. the guy was a quite a dick to be a Platinum CS manager. even said he put in the notes of my account that i had already been told the limit- hence my post.
too late for me to huca tonight, as my donor account is asleep now. thankfully i'm in a state where there is 1 party consent to tape conversations. i'll escalate tomorrow. i cannot find the current rules regarding sharing points anywhere in their mess of T&C online. however, on the points sharing page it's crystal clear and still there as i type:
Points Sharing
A limit of 50,000 points per year may be transferred into or out of a member’s account. Members who are transferring points in order to satisfy a specific award may exceed the 50,000 limit up to the amount needed to satisfy the reservation.
