-1 to your post. Once cleared and upgraded, unless something happens to cause a need to rerun the seatmap (flight change, plane swap, etc) the seat assignment sticks. It's just like when you clear an upgrade at window for flight Feb 1-5 despite losing elite status on Jan 31. The only exception I've seen is where an agent actively downgrades the companion.
