Expensive but worth it. One hand open with locking tab so it won't pop open randomly on the plane. Vacuum insulated so it keeps water cold. Grippy rubber middle so it won't slip. Loop for hooking into my backpack with a caribiner when that's easier than a pocket. Pretty durable as long as you don't drop it directly onto the top when full. And if you do, Thermos will send you another lid for $2 or so.

Whatever plastic water bottle I buy from a shop near the gate in whatever airport I'm in. Nice light plastic. I don't want the extra weight or size and easier to stow during the flight.
