Surely, they have had enough time to prepare a schedule to perform this work way before now and arrange other aircraft or move pax to other flights?
Unless of course, this flight has been cancelled for other reasons making the aircraft unserviceable?
Or their is a problem with another aircraft and they have robbed that aircraft to fly a service where there is only 1 flight per day. It is not always that simple.
