I’ve been warned repeatedly to not use Uber in Mexico. There is open physical hostility between Taxi drivers and Uber drivers and I would also be concerned about personal safety with Uber there. I don’t believe the resorts allow Uber onsite, either.
Let the hotel call you a Taxi. The taxis I’ve ridden in have all been fine: cheap, safe, and clean. Rates are all published in writing, too.
