Use +Qatar (rather than the Qatar Stopover package)? It will have a couple of trade-offs (e.g. no airport transfer unless you pick the Oryx Rotana, the Radisson blu, or the Holiday Inn; no food vouchers), but you'll get a room and you'll be able to pick the hotel.
