I've stayed at the PH, GH, and Atakoy. The PH is solid and has great service. The GH is getting old at this point, but is more centrally located. Not sure about the gym in either. HC is well located also. Nish Palas is close to the PH. Depends mostly on where you will be commuting to as traffic/public transportation in Istanbul can be very difficult. I know the city well so happy to help.
Thank you, oziyal. As it turns out, the PH is beyond my rate limit during the specific dates of my stay, though I will monitor it for a while. I sent the Nish Palas asking about the gym and got no response. Whether they have one or not, I now have my doubts about customer service, so I will probably end up at the GH or HR. Oyster photos make the GH gym look fine, I'll probably split ten days between the two. (I travel very light, so it's easy for me.) I appreciate your thoughts on the Atakoy property; I really don't need to be at/near the airport, and I can supplement my hotel allowance to be closer to center, so I will, but thanks.
