As far as I know you can have as many driver licenses as you like...

I have a German and a Swedish one. Not a problem.

Just one thing to consider is that in a lot of European countries getting a drivers license is pretty expensive... e.g. in Germany easily about 1.500 EUR and even if you can drive you will need to go to an official certified driving school for the mandatory theoretical studies and do the minimum required driving lessons. This will also take time, I think some driving schools do holiday seminars which will do all of this in 2 weeks, but much quicker is tough.

But at least the German license never expires (for now, until they change that) and is valid world wide.
