It would be nice if Amex/SPG/MR would definitively state whether purchases on the SPG Amex in July will still be converted to 3 Marriott points, regardless of the statement date.
Amex told me they will but not in writing. The way the Starwood FAQ is worded is vague. It refers to, "the Starpoints balance in your loyalty member account." Points from some July spending are not all "in" the SPG account on August 1st. Sorry if this was officially answered already, but I haven't seen it.
