Thanks everyone, this is all very helpful. I think I'll take the 789 out of LAX for my solo sector since it's a better time by 5 hours for me, then the A380 to/from JNB and we will end up on a 747 or 789 on the return to LAX. I'll bring an open mind and try not to compare to LH F. Besides, trying something new is always fun. Our reward will be the $8,000 savings between the two of us!
