The onboard upgrade is not the norm and technically the FA is not supposed to do that unless its for weight and balancing. Not a big deal - this was a nice gesture but definitely out of the ordinary.
Perhaps I'm confused. Being Oneworld Emerald allows Flagship Check-in but the Oneworld website shows LATAM Platinum as being Oneworld Sapphire.
