i missed that. flag ship check-in is nice.. i dont think i have any experience to use flagship check-in as non AA emerald.
but since i dont have pre-check. in both time at JFK, agents escort me to the front of the line.

I had BA Gold for about 10 years 2004- 2014 while also holding AA EXP, and did a lot of JFK-LAX return during that time. I would credit the flights to AA but use the BA status to get into the FL. The FL attendants in LAX were the worst in connecting the dots, I turned it into a game to see how wound up i could get them. Glad to see not much has changed.
What's become the absolute worst for me is the OW J lounge in TBIT. Each time it's like groundhog day. Seeing an AA domestic boarding pass seems to just discombobulate them. (Sometimes I go to the J lounge because I'm in a self-service food mood . . . )

I think it may have actually improved because since the re-opening of the FL at LAX T4 I've never even had to ask at the check-in desk, they just automatically give me a card for the FL.
