Delurking to share frustration—silly me to actually think Hilton's BRG program would work as it should.

Have a BRG claim open for our trip to French Polynesia later this year at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui, 3 nights in a King Deluxe Overwater Villa:
Hilton rate: $1083/night
Expedia rate: $874/night

Even with higher taxes on Expedia, total is $282 less. Both are non-refundable, non-cancellable prepaid rates. No breakfast or other amenities included on either. Hilton denied the claim, stating the lowest rate they could find on Expedia is $1618/night!. I replied back with screenshots and a breakdown of how the Expedia rate meets their comparison criteria (The rate actually DROPPED this morning - it's been about 22 hours). What am I missing here?
