I only suffered those once, and it was YYZ-YUL, so I had no issues with it.
For the OP's consideration though, from an on-board experience perspective, I don't think there's much of a difference now that the cabins are the same. Maybe worse chances of an upgrade on the 28J version since the ratio is so much worse, but once on board, largely the same.
